Rules
hiring.bid is a public board of job listings ranked by one thing: how much the company paid to be on it. There are no ads, no algorithm, and no editorial judgement. Rank is the amount paid.
How ranking works
- Bids are whole US dollars. The minimum is $5, and you raise in $1 steps.
- Paying less than #1 still puts you on the board, at whatever rank that amount takes.
- Ties break by who got there first.
- Already on the board? Enter the same job link again and you only pay the difference between your current amount and the new one. Someone else cannot take your rank that way — listings are keyed to the job link.
- Links are matched by their path. Tracking parameters (utm_source and similar) are stripped, so the same job posted two different ways is one listing.
- “Pledges a reply in N days” is the company's own commitment, chosen by them when they paid. We do not measure or enforce it, and a listing without the badge simply made no promise.
- A board takeover costs 5× the current #1 and locks the top for 3 hours. One at a time.
- Some roles are listed as unclaimed. We found and posted those ourselves and nobody has paid for them, so they show no amount and are not ranked. If the role is yours, claiming it means paying for it like any other listing — that is the only way anything gets a number next to it.
What you can list
- A real, open role with a working application link.
- Not allowed: chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Signal and similar), MLM and commission-only schemes, unpaid roles advertised as jobs, and anything requiring the candidate to pay.
- We remove listings that break these rules. Removal does not come with a refund.
Payment
- Bids are not refunded. Not when you are outranked, not when the role is filled, not when you change your mind. You are paying for placement from the moment it goes live.
- Your listing stays up until you are outranked off the visible board, or you ask us to remove it.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
Reply commitments
Companies choose a window in which they intend to reply to applicants. It is a stated intention, not a guarantee, and it is not enforced by us. Any response data shown on the site is reported by candidates and labelled as such.
Contact
Email support@hiring.bid for anything: a refund question, a listing you want taken down, or a problem with a payment.
If your company's role appears in the unpaid section and you would rather it did not, email us and we will remove it. Those listings carry no amount, are not ranked, and nobody has paid for them — they are there so the role is findable, not to imply any endorsement or relationship.
Clicks
Click counts are raw redirects through this site, not verified humans and not applications. The live traffic dashboard is public so you can check the numbers yourself.
